WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

This workshop is ideal for anyone who dreams of owning a mustang and experiencing the Wild West but feels unsure about training a mustang. It provides a unique opportunity to personally learn more about the wild horses with expert guidance, ensuring the horse and you get a solid foundation without depending on a stranger. Held biannually in Arizona, each participant is paired with a mustang. Expert Mustang Trainers will assist each horse-human duo in developing a strong bond.

If you already own a mustang and want to start your training on the right path, this clinic is for you as well! 

WORKSHOP GOALS

- Help mustangs adapt to human interaction

- Prepare mustangs for their new homes in the USA or Europe, ensuring a pressure-free and safe experience

Each mustang comes with the necessary paperwork for import to Europe or to stay in the US and we aim 

to find the perfect person and home for each one.

COURSE CONTENT

- Halter training, hoof handling, and communication

- Progressive training leading to advanced groundwork

- Understand and communicate with mustangs

- Evaluate and tailor training to each horse’s character

- Personalized guidance from trainers 

DETAILED COURSE CURRICULUM

- Establish a foundational relationship

- Learn the language of wild horses

- Train the horse on a long line

- Engage in exercises without a lead

- Develop essential groundwork skills

- Teach the horse to load stress-free

Daily Practices: Touching, grooming, hoof handling, leading on a halter, tying up, relaxed walks

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

- Destination Airport: Tucson

- Arrival: March 1, 2025, in Tucson with overnight at an airport hotel. Pick up next morning for breakfast.

- Departure: March 29, 2025, transfer to Tucson Airport the evening before.

- Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona, USA

- Accommodation: Various lodging options in Sierra Vista. 

   Or stay in a double room with breakfast at Karin’s house for an additional €370 (limited to 6 people).

- Weather: Bright sunshine, cool and windy in March, with minimal rain.

Daily Schedule: Starts at 10 AM with a mix of intense training and relaxation time.
