Behind the Scene
Behind the Scene – Team Ride the Brand
The team consists of experienced, proven professionals who have been actively working with American Mustangs for many years. They are united not only by their commitment to the welfare of the horses, their responsible placement, and their efforts to help move them out of holding facilities, but also by a shared and clearly defined set of values.
They reject the hype surrounding Mustang Makeovers, as well as any form of political instrumentalization, extremism, or ideological movements that are increasingly gaining space in the United States. Their work is free from spectacle, competition, or agenda — it is grounded in respect, expertise, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for the history and dignity of the Mustangs.

Landers
Mustang
Advocate
Without Landers, there would be no Ride the Brand. He’s a true leader in his herd and an incredible partner to us. From rugged trails to city parades, he shows just how special mustangs are. Through him, we’ve experienced every step—transport, training, registration, and even flight—allowing us to build a strong, supportive program. Landers helped us fine-tune our process so every mustang import is smooth and successful.

Karin Finney
Mediator
Karin facilitates the purchase and import of Mustangs from the United States, guiding people in bringing their dream horse safely, transparently, and with heart to Europe. As the founder of Ride the Brand, she organizes and leads Mustang trainings in the US and Portugal where trust, respect, and clarity are at the center.
Alongside adventure journeys and her vacation home in Arizona, Rancho Terra Bravo is emerging in Portugal — a retreat for people seeking renewed strength, clarity, and connection.
Additional focus areas of her work include:
Massage & bodywork for humans and horses
Coaching & mental guidance

David Finney
Partner
David is our sponsor and tireless supporter, whose dedication to family and the program has been instrumental in making Ride the Brand a reality. A military veteran and accomplished entrepreneur, David has spent over three decades professionally in the defense community. He also has a strong personal interest in renewable energy and sustainable living, which influences the vision for Rancho Terra Bravo in Portugal—a peaceful retreat for individuals recovering from PTSD and burnout. His love for animals, cycling, woodworking, and sailing is deeply woven into the design of the ranch, uniting his passions with a purpose-driven vision for healing and community.

Global Mustang Training Team
The Global Mustang Trainer Team consists of former Mustang Makeover trainers from the USA who have consciously stepped away from competition and publicity-driven training. What remains is not hype, but years of solid, hands-on experience.
Each trainer brings deep expertise in selecting and working with wild horses — evaluating temperament, health, and movement, and preparing Mustangs in a structured, horse-centered way for life beyond the wild.
Today, the focus is clear: matching the right Mustang with the right person and preparing each horse responsibly for its journey to Europe.
Selection takes place directly in the United States. Every horse is carefully assessed for mental readiness, physical soundness, and suitability for partnership. Not every Mustang is suited for export — and not every Mustang is suited for every individual. The matching process is honest and realistic.
Preparation is calm, systematic, and tailored to each horse — from initial gentling and groundwork to halter training and loading. There are no rigid timelines, no pressure, and no spectacle.
Clients are supported throughout the entire process, from selection in the U.S. to arrival in Europe. American field experience meets European standards and long-term partnership thinking.
The principle is simple: Select thoughtfully. Prepare responsibly. Build the foundation for a lasting partnership.
