THE STORY
It began with loss.
In Arizona, Karin had found a horse she wanted to buy. A quiet connection was forming — a sense of this is the one. But before the journey could begin, the horse died.
What felt like an ending became an opening.
It was her children who first told her about the wild Mustangs of Arizona — horses that had once roamed free across vast desert landscapes, until they were captured and brought to holding facilities, waiting for a second chance.
The idea stayed with her.
Wild. Untamed. Displaced. Still powerful.
Through a trusted friend working at the Bureau of Land Management holding facility, she was introduced to a Mustang she named Landers. The match felt anything but accidental.
Landers became her turning point.
He carried the spirit of the wild — and the memory of it. Through him, Karin learned that true partnership cannot be forced. Trust cannot be rushed. And authenticity cannot be performed. Wild horses reflect exactly who you are — your clarity, your hesitation, your presence. That experience changed everything.
From a deeply personal journey grew a clear mission. Karin founded Ride the Brand LLC to guide European enthusiasts from careful selection to safe import of American Mustangs into Europe. Working closely with the BLM, experienced trainers, and a trusted U.S. network, she offers honest, transparent access to these extraordinary horses — beyond hype, beyond spectacle.
Her work continued to evolve.
In Germany, she developed Wild at Heart Massage for horses, supporting regeneration and deeper connection. In her private practice in Guldental, she offers TouchLife Massage for women — grounded in the same principles of presence and respect.
Now, a new chapter is unfolding in the mountains of Portugal: Rancho Terra Bravo.
A place where Mustangs and people come together for growth.
Where Wild at Heart Coaching uses horses as mirrors for personal development.
Where horsemanship, bodywork, and nature create space for strength and renewal.
A future hub for bringing wild horses into Europe responsibly and with purpose.
There is something powerful in this return.
American Mustangs descend from Iberian horses. Now, in the land of their ancestors, they step into a new role — not as symbols of the wild alone, but as partners in transformation.
Between the USA, Portugal, and Germany, Karin’s work remains rooted in one truth:
Freedom is not lost.
It changes form.
And when met with trust, it finds its way back.
