Training & Seminars with the Wild Horse in Mind
Have you always wanted to meet a Mustang, get a behind-the-scenes look at the training process, and experience how trust grows into a true partnership? Then our horse training seminars and Wild Horsemanship workshops are exactly what you’re looking for.
Together, we dive into the world of former wild horses and explore everything that makes horse training fair, effective, and sustainable. It’s not just about techniques - it’s about understanding horses, learning to read their language, and working with them in a way they can understand. Through horse-centered training, groundwork, and the study of horse behavior, we develop practical skills that strengthen communication and trust.
Whether it’s former wild horses, young horses, or horses facing unique challenges, every horse has its own story to tell and offers an opportunity to learn something new. Our workshops provide valuable insights into Mustang training, horse management, and the unique characteristics of former wild horses.
For Beginners, Experienced Horse Owners, and Trainers
Whether you are just starting out or have spent many years working with horses, we will meet you where you are in your journey. Through individualized work with both horse and human, every participant can gain valuable insights, practical experience, and fresh perspectives to take home.
Look forward to engaging training sessions, remarkable horses, inspiring conversations, and a wonderful time with like-minded people. Together, we learn, observe, discuss, and grow - creating memories and experiences that will stay with you long after the seminar has ended.

Update:
Due to the current political situation in the United States, the Mustang Workshop will not take place there at the moment. Instead, I warmly invite you to join me in Canada this fall - my own horses will be flying from Calgary to Europe! Become part of this incredible adventure.
The Canadian Wild Horse & Frontier Experience
Our Canadian workshops are evolving far beyond traditional arena-based training. They are becoming an immersive journey that combines horsemanship, untouched wilderness, and the rich culture of Western Canada. This exclusive experience is designed for those who wish to discover the true spirit of wild horses, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Canadian Rockies and the enduring heritage of the old frontier.
The Journey & Horsemanship Experience (Coming Soon)
- Beyond the Arena: We leave the round pen behind and venture directly into the wilderness. Accompanied by local guides, we travel deep into the Rocky Mountains to observe wild horse herds in their natural habitat—living freely as they have for centuries.
- Behind the Scenes: Our journey takes us to the training facilities of our partners, where we gain exclusive insight into the initial gentling process. You will learn the theory, observation skills, and horse-centered principles behind preparing formerly wild horses, while experiencing these remarkable animals up close.
- The Beginning of a Partnership: For those ready to embark on a lifelong adventure, there is a unique opportunity to select and purchase a wild horse during our visit. This allows you to begin your own journey under expert guidance and support.
Life on the Frontier
- Historic Log Cabins: After inspiring days of learning and exploring the mountains, we retreat to beautifully handcrafted log cabins that combine the rugged history of the pioneers with authentic comfort and hospitality.
- Cowboy Tradition & Western Hospitality: Immerse yourself in the hospitality, stories, and slower pace of life that define the Old West. Enjoy shared meals, meaningful conversations, and evenings spent beneath a sky full of stars.
This is the future of our program - an unforgettable encounter with freedom, history, and true horsemanship at its source.

North America – Working with Mustangs Directly from the Holding Facility
In our workshops, we focus on the essential foundations of working with wild horses. Our goal is to foster genuine understanding, safety, and trust - without performance pressure or the expectation of quick results.
Guided by experienced trainers, you will gain valuable insights into horse-centered training, wild horse management, and the cultural heritage that surrounds these extraordinary animals.
Wild Horse Observation
We are here along the Salt River in Arizona, just outside Phoenix—a truly unforgettable setting where our participants can observe and photograph wild Mustangs along the riverbanks.
Throughout the workshop, we are accompanied by photographer Ray Redstone, whose stunning images can be found throughout this website.
We continue this experience in all of our workshops, always set within equally remarkable landscapes. Beginning in 2027, a visit to Peneda-Gerês National Park in Portugal will be part of the program, offering participants the opportunity to observe the region’s wild horses.
We are also planning a workshop in Canada. This program will take us into the Rocky Mountains, where participants will experience wild horse populations up close in their natural habitat.
Tradition and Horse Culture
In Arizona, the workshop journey continued across the border into the region of Sonora, Mexico, where we visited a traditional working cattle ranch that still operates entirely on horseback. Participants can look forward to a trail ride with the Vaqueros, meet local leather artisans, and experience the authentic rhythm of ranch life.
We stayed overnight at the beautiful Hacienda Bacasobabi, part of the ranch itself, where warm hospitality, regional cuisine, and stories of horses and ranch traditions are shared in an unforgettable atmosphere.
Similar cultural experiences are also an integral part of the workshops in Portugal and Canada, each shaped by the unique heritage and horse traditions of its region.
Testimonials

Linda with Curry
"The mustang workshop for me was a life changing experience. I look at, touch, and handle all horses differently now. Understanding the true nature of the horse and learning to work with that was eye opening. The calmer, braver, and more confident I became, so did my horse! Pushing us both through uncomfortable situations, but, always keeping our safety as top priority. I am continuing to build my partnership with my mare, Curry. We both are thriving and enjoying new adventures together. I am forever grateful for this opportunity and for their ongoing support and guidance!"

Constance with Ziv
“When I joined the Mustang Workshop, I didn’t expect to meet a horse who would change me.
From the moment I met Ziv, I felt her presence reach out to mine — an instant, quiet connection.
This morning I told her she was my favorite horse I’ve ever met, and she looked at me as if she’d keep that secret forever.
Thank you, Karin Finney, for trusting me with her.”

Tina with Sidh
“I became friends with Karin in 2019 at a horse clinic in Arizona, and participating in the Mustang Wokshop in with Ride the Brand became an unforgettable experience. I gained a much deeper understanding of wild horses and their behavior. Observing the Mustangs along the Salt River was deeply moving, and the Native American horse blessing added a meaningful, grounding dimension to the journey. Traveling on to Mexico completed the experience beautifully, making it feel rich, connected, and truly unique. Karin was a wonderful host, and I loved staying at her bed and breakfast. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and changed in the best possible way."
