Beyond the Arena:
Canada's Wild Horse & Frontier Experience
I want our Canadian workshops to evolve far beyond traditional arena-based training. My vision is to create an immersive journey that brings together horsemanship, wild horses, untouched wilderness, and the rich culture and heritage of Western Canada.
Participants can experience horses not only within the boundaries of an arena, but in the landscape that has shaped their history and spirit. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, these workshops will offer a deeper connection to the horse, to nature, and to the enduring traditions of the West.
Ultimately, it should become an experience that is about much more than learning techniques. More about understanding the true spirit of the horse, experiencing the land, meeting the people who are part of it, and taking home something that stays with you long after the workshop is over.
A change of plans and a new direction
The Canadian Wild Horse & Frontier Experience
Due to the current political situation in the United States, I have made the personal decision not to hold the Mustang Workshop there at this time.
As an American citizen, I feel strongly about what is happening in my country, and I cannot simply separate those feelings from the choices I make personally and professionally. Instead, my path is taking me north.
This fall, I will be traveling to Canada to begin laying the groundwork for the Wild Horse and Frontier Experience in North America. And there is another very special reason Canada is becoming part of this journey: my own horses will be flying from Calgary to Europe!
So while one door is closing for now, another is opening. I am very much looking forward to Canada, to the people and horses I will meet there, and to creating new opportunities for future clinics on both sides of the Atlantic.
As both an American and a European citizen, I feel I cannot remain silent about where I stand. I will not work with or support right-wing extremists, regardless of which side of the ocean they are on.
Freedom is deeply connected to everything I do, but freedom cannot exist without responsibility, truth, respect, diversity, and democracy.
This is why I am organizing a Freedom Ride across Germany. On horseback, I want to travel, meet people, create conversations, and tell the story of why democracy matters and why protecting it is the responsibility of all of us.
Riding for freedom means standing up for what you believe in.

Beyond the Arena:
My vision is to take these workshops far beyond the round pen and into the wilderness itself. Together with experienced local guides, I want participants to journey deep into the Rocky Mountains, where we can observe wild horse herds in their natural environment and experience what it means to see horses living freely on the land.
Behind the Scenes:
I want to build partnerships that allow us to visit local training facilities and gain a deeper understanding of the first steps in working with formerly wild horses. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the theory, observation skills, and horse-centered principles behind the gentling process and to experience these remarkable horses up close.
The Beginning of a Partnership:
Eventually, I would also like to create the possibility for participants who feel ready for the commitment to select and purchase a horse during their time in Canada. With the right guidance and continued support, this could become more than a workshop, it could be the beginning of a lifelong partnership.
This is what I want the Canadian experience to become: not simply a clinic, but a journey into the world of wild horses, the landscape they come from, and the extraordinary relationship that can begin when horse and human choose to trust one another.
Life on the Frontier
Historic Log Cabins:
After inspiring days of learning and exploring the mountains, the experience would continue in beautiful log cabins, places that bring together the rugged character and pioneering history of Western Canada with warmth, comfort, and authentic hospitality.
Cowboy Tradition & Western Hospitality:
Beyond the horses, the workshops would offer a taste of Western Canadian life and its traditions: shared meals, stories, meaningful conversations, and a slower rhythm of life, with evenings spent beneath a sky full of stars.
The vision goes far beyond a traditional horse clinic. It is about bringing together horses, wilderness, people, history, and culture to create something truly memorable.
