Observing Wild Horses in their Natural Habitat
Arizona and Its Mustangs
At the Salt River in Arizona, just outside Phoenix, an unforgettable setting awaits us. Here, participants have the opportunity to observe and photograph wild Mustangs in their natural habitat along the riverbanks.
Throughout the workshop, we are accompanied by photographer Ray Redstone. You can also find his remarkable images throughout this website.
Portugal and the Ancient Garrano Horse
Beginning in 2027, a visit to Peneda-Gerês National Park in Portugal will also become part of the program. There, we will have the opportunity to observe free-roaming Garrano horses, an ancient breed native to northern Portugal that has been closely connected to this remarkable landscape for centuries.
Canada and the Wildies
A new workshop concept is also taking shape in Alberta, Canada. The journey is envisioned to take us out into the Rocky Mountains and directly into the natural habitat of the wild horses that live there.
Together with experienced local guides, we will set out in search of the herds and experience the landscape in which these horses roam freely. It is not simply about seeing wild horses, but about observing them in their natural environment, understanding their behavior, and discovering just how deeply horse and landscape are connected.
This experience is intended to become an important part of the future Wild Horse & Frontier Experience Canada.
